Like Jason and the Argonauts, I am Philippe the Actionaut, navigating the seas of fitness with advice from some of the world’s top authorities in their respective arenas, be it Pose Running, Martial Arts, Kettlebells, Wildfitness, Surfing etc.
I have traveled the world and experienced many forms of training in many conditions, from Tanzania to the Alps, from Los Angeles to London, from Nature’s natural gymnasium to corporate fitness chains. Like any good coach, I always question my knowledge, upgrade my skills, research and experiment with systems that work, eliminating gimmicks, fads and mumbo-jumbo.
“The proof is in the pudding” goes the popular expression. After having suffered debilitating spinal injuries and 3 weeks in traction in late 2000, I was able to rebuild my body without surgery. It was a long road to recovery, though, but gave me my calling to help others in their complete wellness and fitness!
A 23+ years martial arts veteran, Black Belt in Ninjutsu and many years of other arts practice under my belt (Kali, Capoeira, Muay Thai…) I have developed tactical knowledge of techniques that are as efficient as they can be graceful, sharing my knowledge with people in Law Enforcement (SWAT, Diplomatic Security Services, Border Patrol) or everyday folks. Like Bruce Lee said, have no limitations as your limitations, no way as your way.

Certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, I have helped develop, write and test national exams. Though one of the top certifications in the USA, I always felt there was more, like the education I received was a bit “reductionist”. After training with the Wildfitness group in London, UK, during their first ever coach training program in May 2008 under the tutelage of Lee Saxby, in natural movement patterns and a healthier primal, hunter gatherer approach to how our body’s systems operate, I found the missing link to my knowledge.

Soon after, I continued expanding my knowledge by training and passing my RKC (Russian Kettlebell Certification), the one and only system of strength and conditioning through kettlebells pioneered in the US by Pavel Tsatsouline (oft imitated by others, but paling in comparison and understanding of its principles), I saw how deep the rabbit hole goes…

Fitness is about movement, obviously. But, figuratively speaking, about movement in the right direction, the direction our primal ancestors had developed, that we innately possess but inhibit through our “zoo human” lifestyle, as described in the Wildfitness philosophy.
Join me on my fitness as I bring you inspiration, knowledge and new perceptions to expand your potential and abilities!Ji
